Here it is, something new, something life changing and daunting!!
New plan, new outlook, new me!
Week 1 😱
Its time, it really is time. Easter’s over, I need to shake this Covid rut, this year long rut off – sound familiar??
I decided last Tuesday to start getting my shit together!
Sooo, no more junk food, try and drink at least 2L of water a day, and try and get out for a walk in the evenings after work with Archie, getting that special little bit of extra exercise. To keep myself accountable, I hopped onto my Instagram Stories, and told you all what I was doing and what my plans and intentions were. I invite you all to join me, are you in?
I’m offering a free, no commitments, check-in service, as I will be popping onto my stories most evenings to let everyone know how I’m getting on, and I can send you a little message asking how your day was and we can chat about this or anything.
The past week has really been a beta-week! A pretty a big deal for me. Number one, it was and is a big commitment for me that’s huge, and secondly, well, I actually spoke to the camera on my Instagram stories!
Normally I just take a snap and write a big chunk of text over it. Confidence is something I’ve always struggled with, especially public speaking (and I hate the sound of my own voice when I hear it played back). My nerves were absolutely shot after the first day I uploaded the video chat, but I was absolutely blown away by the response I received after hitting upload. Thank you, thank you!
Not only were you guys really interested (which is always a huge sigh of relief) but your feedback was amazing too– I genuinely loved getting all your messages applauding me for what I was doing. I tried my best to respond to everyone’s messages, so incase I wasn’t heard first time round I’d just like to thank everyone to took the time to reach out.
I called this a beta-week because it was a week of figuring everything out, what worked, and what wasn’t working. My plan is to write a weekly if not every-other-week blog post catching you up on how things are going, as I know not everyone is on Instagram, and also not everyone watches their Stories even if they are on Instagram.
So how did I do, I hear you ask?
➢ I got my walk in 5 days out of the 6 day week,
➢ I got 2L of water into me everyday !!!
➢ Apart from a few glasses of wine Friday evening and a cheeky McDonald’s on Saturday, my diet/nutrition was all on track.
